then she went with roger, sid, and baba to honor the lives of some of chicago's finest ...

then aunt andy came for a visit and they chilled in the park ...

she splashed in the fountain downtown ...

she entertained some admirers on the steps of the art institute ...

she made friends with the baby in the bean ...

she mingled while listening to opera at millenium park ...

she played dress-up ...

she practiced her dog paddle ...

and her surfing ...

she hung out at the dog beach ... hey! where is that dog anyway? ...

oh! he's home doing chores... (cleaning-up az's high chair)

lots of friends from far away places come to visit when you're 1 ...

we had so much fun running around town with Mike ...

reading stories in our jammies with Scott ...

and kickin' it with Amy and her family in the burbs ...

hurray for being 1!

i can wear my party dress while watering the garden ...

swim at the pool with the big kids ...

try more adventurous food ...

and brush me own teeth ... sort of
