It's probably more than just a coincidence that Az decided to be a firefighter for Halloween given her parents' history. We promise we didn't put her up to this.

When Zubin gets dressed for the night he's glowing with enthusiasm for going out haunting ...

but once it's all explained to him, he's not as sure about the whole thing ...

so he decides he's better off sleeping through it this year.

Firefighter Az wants you to know for the record that this is just a paper hat and that she abhors the thought of people wearing real turkeys on their heads (dead or alive). Also, while she does not yet know the political and social history of Thanksgiving, she's really into saying "thanks."

This really happened ... honest!

Az worked really hard at the apple festival this year.

She took over at the station for washing apples for cider.

Then is was time to get dressed for the party!
She wasn't so sure about dress-up at first...

... but in the end she was delighted!

... especially because she got to pick apples in a tutu.

Thank you for the wonderful apples
farmer Richard (Wild Raspberry Orchard)!

Processing some feed corn we found.

Zubin and Maman go blue at the festival.

Walking with Baba and Zubin to the first day of "school."

Az is getting a hang of being a big sister ... helping at bath time ...

... and reading stories at bedtime.

Check out the fabulous indentations.

Az practicing her G-force exercises...

... for the future!
